The Fontenay in Hamburg was great. Perfect technology, amazing food, and a fine pool. The staff was professional, polite, and diligent. The location is ideal with a beautiful view of the Alster lake. Excellent service, security, and architecture make this hotel a top choice.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff, especially Miss Lisa, were cute and professional. The check-in and check-out process was quick and easy, and I was even shown the room before paying, a first for me in Germany. The room itself was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The hotel facilities were excellent, including the rooftop bar with great service. The hotel's garden was marvelous, and the swimming pool offered fine views of the surrounding area. The location of the hotel was perfect, right near the city center and in a classy neighborhood near the embassies. I was highly impressed with the breakfast with a wide variety of delicious vegan options.

While the service was exemplary, the special diet menu was limited.
